Introduction

Eatiquette Inc (“Company” or “We”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy (“Privacy Policy”).

This policy describes the types of information we may collect from you or that you may provide when you use Eatiquette’s mobile application, and our practices for collecting, using, maintaining, protecting, and disclosing that information.

We operate a mobile application to allow you to search and sort grocery products based on your personal nutritional, ingredient or sustainability interests, while also storing and potentially buying grocery products (our “Application”). The Application is available for download through the App Store and Google Play, and may in the future be available for download on our website. This Privacy Policy only applies to information provided and collected via the Application. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into the End User License Agreement for the Application by reference therein.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, do not download, register with, or use our Application. By downloading, registering with, or using the Application, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

Children Under the Age of 13

Our Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any information to the Application. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not download, register with, or use our Application, or contact us through the Application. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.

What Information Do We Collect?

We collect several types of information from and about users of our Application, when users register with or navigate the Application, or when users provide the information to us, including:

Information by which you may be personally identified, such as name, e-mail address, and date of birth (“personal information”).
Information that is about you but individually does not identify you.
Information about your internet connection, the mobile device you use to access our Application, and usage details.
Facebook and Google login credentials (i.e., e-mail address and password) if you link your social media accounts and log in to the Application through your Facebook and/or Google accounts.

You will have the option to share certain personal information with other users of the Application. You may also provide information for publication or display on public areas of the Application (“User Contributions”). Your User Contributions are posted and transmitted to others at your own risk. You may set certain privacy settings for your User Contributions through your account profile, but please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, so we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Contributions or personal information will not be viewed by unauthorized persons.

Information We Collect Through Automatic Data Collection Technologies

As you navigate through and interact with our Application, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your mobile device, browsing actions, and patterns, including:

Details of your visits to our Application, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Application.
Information about your mobile device and internet connection, including the device’s unique device identifier, operating system, browser type, mobile network information, and the device’s telephone number.
Real-time information about the location of your device. You can choose whether or not to allow the Application to collect and use real-time information about your device’s location through the device’s privacy settings. However, if you block the use of location information, some parts of the Application may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

We use this information to help us improve our Application and to deliver a better and more personalized service. Specifically, this information enables us to:

Estimate our audience size and usage patterns.
Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize our Application according to your individual interests.
Speed up your searches.
Recognize you when you use the Application.

We do not collect personal information automatically, but we may tie this information to personal information about you that we collect from other sources or you provide to us.

We do not control third party tracking technologies or how they may be used.

We do not provide your personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly.

How We Use Your Information

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us:

To present our Application and its contents to you.
To provide you with information, products, or services that you request from us.
To fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.
To carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us, including for billing and collection.
To notify you about changes to our Application or any products or services we offer or provide though it.
To allow you to participate in interactive features on our Application; or
For any other purpose with your consent.

We may contact you regarding the Application and regarding general marketing of our or our affiliates’ products or services through notifications sent directly to your mobile device (e.g., push notifications, banner notifications, alerts) and through email correspondence. You should be able to control whether you receive notifications sent directly to your mobile device from the Application through your mobile device’s settings. If you disable mobile device notifications, some parts of the Application may then be inaccessible or not function properly. We also offer you the opportunity to control the notifications, whether through notifications sent to your mobile device or sent via email correspondence, through your account profile settings within the Application itself.

Some or all of the information we collect may be transferred to or stored or processed in jurisdictions outside of the United States. As a result, this information may be subject to access requests from governments, courts, or law enforcement in those jurisdictions according to laws in those jurisdictions.

We may disclose information that we collect:

To our subsidiaries and affiliates.
To contractors, service providers, and other third parties we use to support our business, including, but not limited to, financial advisors.
To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of Company’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which information held by Company about our Application users is among the assets transferred.
To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.
To comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request.
To enforce or apply our End User License Agreement and other agreements.
If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Company, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
With your consent; or
For any purpose disclosed by us when you provide the information.

We may disclose aggregated information about our users, and information that does not identify any individual or device, without restriction.

Accessing and Correcting Your Information

You have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information about you that we have collected through our Application by sending a request for access using the “Contact Us” feature on our Application. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect. We may request additional information to verify the request is authentic. While we will comply reasonably and promptly with your request, we may need to retain some of your information for our own recordkeeping or to fulfill a legal obligation.

Data Security

We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.

You are also responsible for the safety and security of your information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any passwords associated with our Application. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Despite the measures we take to secure your personal information, it is important to remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Application. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Application.

The information we collect may be transferred to and stored in countries outside of the United States where we and our third-party service providers have operations. You understand that the laws of other countries may not provide the same level of protection as the data protection laws of your home country. Nonetheless, we will take all reasonable steps to protect your privacy in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. We will reflect any such modifications to this Privacy Policy on our Application. Your continued use of this Application after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the Privacy Policy periodically for updates.
